Pressed-to-Go was first established in 2002, when as a mother of two, I needed work that would better suit a full time mum. Strangely, I have since childhood, really enjoyed ironing. Its true, I actually like doing the job that millions hate. So I decided to do my own thing and start up a service for those people who for whatever reason want to palm off this loathsome task to me.
Based from home at first, the company grew as we made many friends over the years. As the company grew, so did my family, and with twins on the way in 2008, we relocated to larger premises. We now offer a Dry Cleaning Service with competitive prices and fantastic results, a shoe repair service to excellent standards, and we have teamed up with a well known local dressmaker to offer alterations and repairs to any clothing.
All I need now is a coffee machine and fresh cakes!
Pricing
At Pressed-to-Go we have always priced our ironing on a level rectangular basket regardless as to its contents,
anything above level is charged proportionately.
Price for a standard size basket is £20.00 and laundry costs £10 per load.
The benefit of a basket is that any folded items have a neat base to be returned in.
All other items, shirts etc. are returned hung in a clear plastic cover.
